Doctor in Media and Communication Studies from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB-Belgium). Her dissertation explored the role of organizational interpersonal communication in fostering transdisciplinarity within academic development cooperation projects, proposing «symmetric interactions, shared experiences, and dialogic communication» as salient factors in this process. She is an active member of the inter- and transdisciplinary research team associated with the Crea Project, focused on the collaborative governance of water resources in the Katari River Basin. Furthermore, she serves as a professor in the field of social communication. Her academic and professional achievements have been recognized through the conferral of the title "Chevalier" in the French Order of Arts and Letters in 2020, and the "Marie Curie Prize" in 2024 -from the Bolivian Academy of Science- which acknowledged her distinguished career and significant scholarly contributions.
